Roy Williams is known to most Oklahomans as “Superman” for his game-changing play against the University of Texas Longhorns in the storied Red River Rivalry. The University of Oklahoma named its Strength and Speed Complex after him, both for his athletic achievements and financial contributions to OU. Roy was an All-American and a first round draft pick in the National Football League in 2002, as well as a five-time Pro Bowl honoree. Though he is best known for his accomplishments in football at the University of Oklahoma, and in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Bengals, Roy is also an accomplished entrepreneur and philanthropist.
He currently serves as president of Global Security Corporation, a full service security provider based in Oklahoma. In 2004, Roy founded the Roy Williams Safety Net Foundation, providing hope and educational resources to single mothers across the country. He also co-founded Pros for Africa, a mission organization focused on bringing hope and healing to the children of Uganda, and has traveled to the African nation on several occasions. Roy has been involved in numerous charitable causes, and has utilized his platform as a former professional football player to make a difference in countless lives. He has appeared in several television shows over the years, including Hard Knocks, MTV Cribs, and Storage Wars.
